The Women’s Program, a second component of Aurora Dawn Foundation, has been operating since 1999.

Mission
The mission of the Aurora Dawn Foundation's Women's Program is to help women with HIV/AIDS and their children get the basic necessities of life, such as food, clothing and shelter. By easing the burdens of daily living, they then may focus on their healthcare as a priority and consider the prospect of healthy, fulfilling lives.
Services
Our services are intended for women who are underserved and underrepresented in the AIDS service communities of the San Francisco Bay Area. They are homeless or marginally housed, have little or no income, often don’t qualify for health insurance and are primarily minorities.
Since The Women’s Program is developed by women and for women, it has the most potential to meet their real needs in a non-judgmental, nurturing environment. Humanity, compassion and respect are beliefs of The Women’s Program, not just words.
Goals
The goals of The Women’s Program are to provide:
Food subsidies to help clients obtain food and personal care items
Clothing distribution
Scholarships that allow clients to attend retreats and workshops that focus on personal growth and healthcare
Nutritious breakfasts and supportive community to the women who attend the special women’s clinics that are held weekly at the local public hospital.
